Overview:

Swashoshan Trust main motto of conducting the Free Eye camp is to bring awareness and earlier detection before it gets worse. “Prevention is better than cure” On this theme we conducted the camp.

We conducted the camp for two days. One day for the school students of Tribal Ashram School and the second day for the villagers.
-
The eye Screening was done for 254 people. 60 people were referred for spectacles, and 13 people were referred for Surgery.

Total 6 members from Swashodhan Trust, 3 Members from LV Prasad Eye Institute, and one member from Tosham village committee person participated in the Camp.

Objective: To do the free eye screenings, to check their eye conditions, refer them to LV prasad in case they need further treatment, promoting awareness to the people about their eyes.

Activities and Services Provided:
Collection of Data: The basic demographics entered in the registration forms, including their BMI, BP, and pulse. -
EYE Screening: Free Eye Screening was done for all the people by the trained Ophthalmologists and data was also collected by LV Prasad Eye Institute.

Services: The people who are referred to take the glasses for the glasses will be provided, The people requiring Surgeries are referred to LV Prasad Eye Institute.

Outcomes and Impact:

254 free eye Screening was done.

60 referred for the Glasses.

Got Awareness about their Eye health and some basic tips given for their eye protection.

Most people know about our Telemedicine clinic, like How the clinic works.

Strengthened the trust and relationship between villagers with our Telemedicine clinic.

Conclusion: The Eye Camp created awareness about eye care and some preventive measures required for their eyes. In the Free Eye Camp, one Student from the 10th standard who is attending his final examination has -14 sight which shows how important conducting the eye camp. It also created awareness about our Telemedicine clinic.
Free Eye and Dental Camp, Chippalpally

In collaboration with Janahitha Seva Trust and Lions Club, Swashodhan Trust organized a complimentary Eye and Dental camp at UPS High School, Chipallaplly, Kandukur Mandal. The camp, held on December 27, 2023, saw the active participation of dedicated doctors from Janahitha Seva Trust and Lions Club who volunteered their expertise.

A commendable turnout of around 100 students benefited from comprehensive Eye and Dental checkups during the camp. Emphasizing primary and preventive care, the health initiative aimed to promote overall well-being among the students.

During the camp, two students were identified with minor issues related to their eyes and dental health, and appropriate guidance and recommendations were provided. The successful execution of the event involved a total of 7 doctors and 23 supporting staff members who contributed their time and expertise, further reinforcing the importance of community-driven healthcare initiatives.

Students have been provided with fundamental health education, including instructions on the proper technique for cleaning their teeth and the recommended frequency for maintaining oral hygiene.
