Women Empowerment

Swashodhan Trust believes that for building self-sustaining villages like Chippalapally, women empowerment is crucial.
-
The Trust has set up schools and colleges for girls to educate them and remove illiteracy.
-
Girls of the village are covered under the Kishori Vikasam scheme to educate and create awareness in areas of gender awareness, menstrual health and hygiene, nutrition, social issues like child marriages, child abuse, child trafficking, and career.
-
Anganwadi centres for girls where they are provided with non-formal pre-school education, nutrition and health education.
-
Educate the women of the village on how to run and develop a business, so that they can become self-sufficient in future.
-
Participation of women political leaders from the village in village mandal, district, state and national level.
-
The village committee to be constituted of 50% women.
-
Legal help for distressed women.
-
Remove social taboos and problems that women face, and provide confidence-building measures for the overall development of women.
